Yes, only sterile, single-use acupuncture needles are ever used in my treatments.

This depends on a variety of factors such as the condition being treated, how long you have experienced the issue, and age. Generally, the longer you have had something, the longer it will take to fix. I can give you a clearer idea of how many sessions you will need after a consultation.

Acupuncture has a cumulative effect, and it takes multiple, regular treatments to see results.

For women’s health / gynaecological issues / pelvic pain, it typically takes several cycles to achieve anything significant. For fertility, expect to work together weekly over 3-12 cycles.

For most issues you will start to see changes within 3-4 treatments (autoimmune conditions can take longer to respond)

There have now been over 13,000 studies into how acupuncture works (including almost 1000 systemic reviews). Acupuncture has “moderate to strong evidence of effectiveness in the treatment of 46 conditions” and evidence of effect for117 conditions.

You are welcome to bring someone with you to your consultation. In most instances, I will get them to step out before your treatment begins - this enables me to give your treatment my undivided attention.

When you make a booking, I am saving that time just for you. If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours notice. Please note that a fee of $35 applies to appointments rescheduled or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, and the full fee (ie $95 for a $95 appointment) applies to missed appointments.
